Terms of Use - OpenGuard App
Effective Date: February 14, 2026
Welcome to the terms of use provided by Jade TeamWorks LLC ("we", "our", or "us"). These Terms govern your use of our application, OpenGuard App.
1. Nature of Service
OpenGuard is a security utility tool designed to assist users in assessing the safety of URLs before opening them. It provides:
- Local security checks.
- Integration with third-party threat intelligence (e.g., Google Web Risk).
- AI-based intent analysis.
- Browser management and routing capabilities.
2. Disclaimer of Warranties (Security Analysis)
CRITICAL: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
The security analysis provided by OpenGuard ("Security Report", "Risk Score", "AI Findings") is for informational purposes only.
- No Guarantee of Safety: A "Safe" rating or a high security score does NOT guarantee that a URL is 100% free of malware, phishing, or other threats. Cyber threats evolve rapidly, and no system can detect every danger.
- No Guarantee of Danger: A "Danger" or "Warning" rating may occasionally be a false positive.
- User Responsibility: You acknowledge that you are solely responsible for your decision to open or interact with any URL. OpenGuard is a tool to aid your judgment, not a substitute for it. We are not liable for any damages, data loss, or security breaches resulting from opening a link, regardless of OpenGuard's analysis result.
3. AI Analysis Disclaimer
The "AI Intent Analysis" feature uses artificial intelligence to predict the intent of a URL. AI models can make mistakes ("hallucinations") and may misinterpret legitimate sites as malicious or vice versa. You agree to use this feature with the understanding that its outputs are probabilistic and not definitive facts.
4. Third-Party Links and Downloads
OpenGuard may provide links to download third-party web browsers or visit other websites.
- We do not own or control these third-party products.
- We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services.
- Downloading and installing third-party browsers is done at your own risk and is subject to the respective terms of those browsers.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall OpenGuard or its developers be liable for any indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including without limitation damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to the use of, or inability to use, the Service.
6. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the application following the posting of any changes to the Terms of Use constitutes acceptance of those changes.
